Linked Text Set

Blank Page: Text

Here is an example of the linked text sets I create for all my novel units. This linked text set compliments our main text Night by Elie Wiesel. A linked text set is a collection of texts that share similar themes, ideas, and meaning. With linked text sets, English Educators can properly structure and pace the integration of multimodal texts and resources to support students’ understanding of the content they study. I chose an excerpt from the graphic novel Maus by Art Spiegelman, the speech "The Perils of Indifference" by Elie Wiesel, the short story "The Ones Who Walk Away From Omelas" by Ursula Le Guin, and the poem "The Sunset of the Century” by the poet Rabindranath Tagore. This linked text set aims to support students in the instructional outcomes and essential questions of my unit.
